Stella Marina – Asbury Park, New Jersey

Our dining experience at Stella Marina was truthfully a trip back to Italy. From the wine to the fresh pasta, all while relaxing outside on the boardwalk- this last minute invitation could not have been anymore worth it!

The house Pinot Noir was both dry and smooth and did not have even a bit of a bite. I haven’t had wine that lovely since our last trip to Europe. I almost asked the server where I could purchase a bottle.

Every single dish we ordered was excellent. The cheese plate offered a variety of cheeses from around the world and was paired with fruit and bake crostini slices. There really aren’t any words to describe the octopus. It was grilled to perfection.

We shared the Pappardelle Bolognese and the Porcini Ravioli (truffle cream sauce) for our “primo”. The pasta tasted extremely fresh. It was al dente and hearty. The Bolognese came highly recommended and it was topped with melted ricotta and butter. It was incredible. The ravioli was awesome too. We adore mushrooms, especially when they’re truffles. The flavor was strong and brought us right back to Zaza in the San Lorenzo Square in Florence. OMG.

Overall, I definitely give this food a 10/10 and we can’t wait to return there and to perhaps check out the happy hour menu.
